Today is my birthday March 30th,I am really excited. As I woke up my mom was playing happy birthday song. I got out of bed and hugged her. Then she tell me to go to the kitchen. I go and I look at the table, I see tamales and donuts. My day got even better, I started eating with my mom. Then she said we can go to the store to buy cake and other things. We needed to go because my birthday party is tomorrow.

Today I was really excited and energetic  when I woke up. Today is the last day before spring break. Today is also the last day of quarter three so that means when I come back I get new classes. To make it even better my birthday is tomorrow. I will be turning 12, I was just really happy.

Yesterday the light went out in my house. My older sister was doing homework in the same room that I was in. I was just watching one of my favorite shows the flash,when the lights decided to go out. My dad has a restaurant downstairs of my house,so we looked out the window. We checked if the restaurants lights also went out. They did so me and my parents went outside to see if other places didn’t have lights. We found out that the whole block didn’t have power/light. We ended  going upstairs to the house. My mom put candles all over the house so we can have some sort of light. I eventually fell asleep,when I woke up the power was back up.

Me and my family were so excited to go buy corns. The grocery store that’s really close to us sell corn. For some reason they chose me to go buy them. So they all gave me their money for what they wanted. There I go walking to the store. I get there and I ask the lady if there was any corns. She said no, I was really disappointed because I really wanted one. Then I start walking back to my house, then I get home. Everyone asked what happened why don’t I have the corns. I told them that they didn’t have any, we just ended up eating chips.

Today I woke up really late, I had set my alarm. I was just really tired so when the alarm went off ,I stopped it and went back to sleep. My dad started saying my name across the other room. He was doing that so I would wake up. The bad thing is that I didn’t hea him. At the end I started waking up, then I looked at the time. I quickly jump out of bed,I only had only like 5 minutes to get ready. I start putting my clothes on and doing everything. Once I’m ready I sprint outside and get on my bike,and I start going to school.

Today morning me and my mom went to church. We went walking since it’s not far. We were in a rush,we were already late by like 10 minutes. We were running to get there, on the way there I realized something. I noticed that I didn’t bring my phone. My mom asked why, I told her that probably  because we were in a big rush. I said that I didn’t think about grabbing it. So we just ended up still going with out my phone.

I was giving my dog Coco his daily walk around  the whole block. As I passed by the side walk I saw these two other small dogs. They started barking at Coco, Coco decided to just ignore them. The lady that had the dogs kept coming straight towards us. Coco then started getting a little mad that they kept barking at him. So he started barking back,it got to the point where they were close. The other dogs really wanted to fight Coco. I just picked up Coco and walked far from them. I didn’t want anything to happen to me or Coco, but it wasent like a play bark or anything. They were like actually growling at coco so I got a little scared.

I was eating my favorite food, Mac & Cheese. My parents had bought a big bottle of soda,so I had to open it and put it in a cup. I wanted to hold the cup as I poured the soda in to it. But it didn’t go as planned, the bottle started tilting in my hand. As soon as I start to grab it to save it it falls. BOOM!!! It exploded every where, it sounded like something broke. My mom screamed right away asking what happened. I had told her that I dropped the soda,she said that it was ok. Now I had to drink out of a soda can.

Almost at the start of the year I brought in my pet fish into my excel class as a class pet. We now still have it here,we take care of it as a whole class. But I give him the food and clean his bowl,this morning I cleaned it. When I went to the bathroom to clean the bowl it was very sticky from the sides. So I scrubbed it until it was nice and clean, then I put water in it and came back to class. The fish name is Sapphire,he also has this water conditioner thing so he won’t get sick.

My older sister, my mom and me went to go look for a new microwave. We were thinking of where to go look for it. My sister eventually said that we should go to Walmart. We got there and went to the microwave section. There were many choices to choose from,we were looking for the best microwave. My mom found one that she liked, there was two different colors.  There was a red one and a black one, my mom asked me which one I liked better. I told her that the red one because it looked cool, we ended up buying it. We got home and set it up, I was looking at it then I realized that it had many different options. I was really excited.

My mom has been getting really mad because because of my dog shedding his hair. The problem is that when he sheds the whole house and clothes is filled and covered with dog hairs. Me and my dad give Coco a yearly haircut, we cut his hair really short so he won’t shed as much. We always have fun cause Coco like slaps my dads hand. He really likes getttig his hair cut because after he’s done he gets a shower. He loves showering especially with his favorite toy. Now Coco looks really chubby and cute.

My whole family was bored in our house,it was a really nice day. We were thinking of where to go,we stayed on the couch watching TV for like 30 minutes. We ended up deciding to go to the ice cream store. We all walked to it and walked back since it wasn’t far. I got a cone with Oreo ice cream and sprinkles on top. My family got the ice cream in a cup, I also got a banana the was with like hard chocolate over it. I was really happy with my ice cream.

I live by a hospital so I’m always hearing sirens. But today the lights of my room went out. I was just playing on my phone when out of nowhere the lights go out. I’m trying to figure out why this happened with my mom.As my mom went to grab a new light bulb, I stayed in the room by my self . I heard like 3 police cars sirens, they were so loud that it scared me. I jumped, then realized they where just cops passing by so I started laughing at my self. 

 Today was the day i fell of my bike,this is my second worse fall. I was riding my bike to the park, I was going really fast. Since the bike is brand new the brakes are really hard. I was not thinking about that at the moment. I turned to go in to a ally way but there was a huge rock in front of me. I reacted fast to use my breaks,but not fast enough. The front wheel of the bike hit the rock really hard,which caused it to like tilt to the side. I went flying off it into the ground,the bike was on the floor and so was I. I only had like a burn in my leg but i was ok,my bike has a few scratches.

I bought like 5 boxes of candy,they where all different. Some where sour candy and others where normal candy. I grabbed like 2 plastic baggys and set them on the table, i also set my candy next to the bags. I had thought of the idea to sort them all out sour in one bag and normal in the other. I asked for the help of my sister because i realized it was to much candy. Like 20 min later we finished sorting them all out,it was really fun. Now today i have a lot of candy, we ended up filling up three bags.

Today in school I felt it was a really easy day, i am not sure why but it went by really fast. My schedule was the same as  the past few days. In every class everything we did was really fun for me. Some classes we had free time and others we did some activities. Since the tests are in the morning all after noon is like a break. My favorite class is ELA cause we caan technically do what ever we want like play games.

I was playing with my dog Coco, he was playing with his toys while I was next to him using my phone. I had to go use the bathroom so then I go, when I came out my phone was not on the ground anymore. I looked for it everywhere,I ended up telling my mom to call it. I realized that I always have it on mute,so that wouldn’t work. Like 20 minutes later I found it, it was under the couch. I kept thinking how that could of happened, then I noticed that Coco was by the couches when I left my phone there. So that meant that Coco might of accidentally pushed it under the couch.

Walking to Walgreens and walking back home was not very fun. Yesterday afternoon I went to Walgreens to buy a lock for my new bike.  I really needed one cause I wanted to bring my bike to school. I obviously didn’t want it to get stolen so I needed to buy a big lock. There I went walking with my younger sister. I went to go find the lock inside of Walgreens, turns out there was only one left. It was the perfect one, the one I was thinking of the other nice thing about it was that it was thick so they won’t cut it. I was really excited.

I’ve wanted a new bike since that day that my other bike got stolen.  My dad has been saying no because there is no point of getting it. I asked him why and he said because it’s cold and there is snow. So I waited a couple more weeks, when those weeks passed I asked again. This time he said yes but not until we go to the store. I wans lucky that my mom was going to Walmart that day,so I went with her. I asked her if we could go to the bike section,she said yes. So I picked my favorite bike and checked if it was good. It came with pegs in front and back, so I was really happy. The next day I was riding it.

As you may  know there is an app called Snapchat, I have it downloaded on my phone. I have streaks with almost all my friends. I have really high streaks at least more than 50,so i really care about them. I realized later that day that i haven't sent streaks all day. So I quickly go into my phone and click on Snapchat. I see all my streaks with a timer on the side, that means that they are about to end. I quickly send my streaks to all my contacts. I ended up saving all of them,it was a really scary day.

I was really bored so I decided to go wash all my uniform clothes. I thought it would be really easy, since it was only like five shirts and four pants. So I go downstairs into the basement mom asks "where am i going?. I told her that i was going to wash my school uniforms. She said that "if you are going to wash some of your dirty clothes,you mine else well wash all your other clothes". I got really mad,but i realized it was worth it. I still ended up going to wash.

Today I was chosen for the Slice Of  Life Friday raffle, I was one out of the three chosen. This is how it works, Ms. Haury (My ELA teacher) made a box for slice of life's. Every person that writes a Slice Of Life gets their name put in the box. Back to when I got picked. Ms. Haury said that she was about to pick three people out of the box. All my classmates were excited, She calls one person. I started loosing hope that I wasn't gonna get picked. She calls the next person, in my head i knew and had the feeling that I didn't have a chance. She called the very last person,she starred at the little paper for a second. She says Erick!, I got really excited and I walk up to her. She gave us an option to choose from candy and supplies. I chose this box of  Dots and this really cool pizza pen.

It was a really fun day yesterday, me and my other three friends ate pizza. We ate it during lunch, we all brought different kinds of snacks. The pizzas were sausage and cheese , we ate chips on the side of it. Mr.Larson bought us the pizzas because I won a challange that we did, the challahs was to create a boat. While we were eating the pizza me and my friends were talking about how we did our boats. Like how did we make them and how did we use them,we also told each other the materials the we used. It was a really fun day.

Yesterday around 5:00 pm I was really hungry. Then I started thinking to see if I could go to the store, I asked my sister what she wanted. She said she wanted some chips,so I go to the store. As I was in the line to pay I realized  that I didn’t bring money. I quickly put the stuff away and went back home. My mom asked what had happened because I didn’t bring anything. I told her I forgot my money, I was really embarrassed to go back. I ended up going like 30 minutes later, that time I checked if I had my money.

I was having fun helping my dad fix his car, out of no where there is rain. We noticed that it was a little bit so we just kept fixing it. After like 10 minutes it started hailing, it was like big balls of hard snow/Ice. My dad and I  quickly put the things away, we ran inside. We sat down waiting for the hail/snow to calm down. Later that day we went back to fixing it,we went outside. We got all the stuff back out. We fully finished, after that we cleaned the inside of the car.

I was about 9 years old when I broke my phone. I was really happy with my phone, my dad calls me. He said to “go take my dog for a walk, I said “ok”. I picked up my dog and put his leash on, I grabbed my phone from the table. As I was walking down the stairs, I get a message I try to check my phone but Coco starts moving. He was about to fall so I act fast to try to grab him, as I grab him I drop my phone. BOOM!!! It starts falling all the way down the stairs, I realized that I didn’t have a case on. I got really scared I run down the stairs, I picked my phone up. I turned it around The Who,e screen was cracked,it was really bad. A corner of the phone had no glass, I started crying .

One sunny morning,while I was asleep. My sister woke me up, she asked me if i was hungry. I told her not really because i just had woken up. Then she told me that she was gonna take me to eat breakfast. I asked her "where are we going to eat" she  said we are going to I hop. I was really excited we got there and we ordered. We finished eating,then we went home, I was really happy.

It was one quite night, I was just eating my cereal. Out of no where I hear two animals screaming, I get scared and run towards my room. Then my mom asks “what is that”,so we go to the window to check. We couldn’t see anything since it was dark. So we notice that the screaming was from cats, we tell my dad to come. He saw that it was the two cats fighting, then I kept eating my cereal. The screaming kept getting quieter. It ended up just sounding like growling,so I ignored it. Than time passed and everything was quite.

I was getting really stressed out doing all the homework I had. My older sister passes by me and asks “what happened” “why am I like this?”. I told her that I couldn’t figure out my math problems,so she started helping me out. She helped me with like five problems than I started to get the hang of it. I told her to let me try this problem,she checked it and I got it right. So  I did everything else by my self, when I was done I told her to check it. She checked them all and they were all right, I was really proud of my self.

I was walking my dog Coco, I heard multiple police sirens coming to where I was. Then I saw three police cars pull over a car right in front of me. I was kind of scared,so I just walked a little bit further. I saw the police guy tell the driver to get out of the car. They started checking him, I see the other two police cars leave. At the end he lets the guy go and they both end up leaving.

One sunny afternoon I was really bored with my sister. We decided to go play basketball to the park, we walked there. As soon as we got there we started practicing some shots. After we did that we started playing a game. Out of nowhere the basketball pops, it sounded like a big explosion. My sister screamed so loud that I got really scared. We had nothing else to play with, we just ended up walk8ng back home.
